A little tired of Wonderland, Alice takes a trip to Greece. She jumps aboard a boat named Kymo, and with her trusty Greek skipper Vasko, sails her tears which lead into the Aegean Sea and the Cyclades Islands.
Alice trades in her golden locks for a Medusa-like 'do and converts her familiar frock into goddess garb. At Mikonos, she picks up the Mad Hatter who had been busy celebrating unbirthdays to get free drinks. The Cheshire Cat even makes an appearance to enjoy the beautiful skies near the temple of Poseidon.
Meanwhile, the Queen of Hearts hears of the expedition and rides furiously in The Dingy ("din-jee") to catch up with them.
Alice spots a dolphin and marvels at the great friends she has made. Wonderland is great, she muses, but Greece is even better.

Watercolour and ink, Greece, 2005.
Inspired by Vasko, a true Alice fan, Greece, and my lovely boatmates aboard the Kymo.
Wow, that's colourful! I really like it, too . Your drawing style is great, and I love Alice in Wonderland (or Greece... she's great wherever she goes ). I especially love how you captured the Cheshire Cat's grin...
'Allo there! I'm SO sorry for adding this on to my favorites without even leaving a comment, but I was in a tad bit of a hurry to leave for an appointment.
Now, however..I've got the time!
I absolutely adore your rendition of the ever-so-classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, hon. It truly would've been a pleasure to watch you create this step-through-step.
Very creative And I love the shimmery rainbow look of the water.

Actually, although it is by far not my best work and really cartoony for my tastes, it was one of the funnest projects I have worked on in a long time. Seriously, I couldn't stop smiling and giggling as I was creating it.
I feel great that somehow that aspect got through to you.
Thanks for the comment, and the fave as well!!
hee hee - you really like kitties, don't you? (I took a peek at your gallery. You've got some nice tigers in there!)
Actually, the cheshire cat was one of my favourite parts of this drawing. I couldn't decide between the caterpillar, the cat, or the white rabbit... i am extremely happy with my choice. He made me giggle.
Yeah, I love my kitties . I think your choice of the Cheshire Cat was a very good one, personally. He certainly adds a lot of joy to the picture with his cheeky grin
that's a rather beautiful depiction of Alice and related characters, not to menton you built a whole story out of it, I really like the colors and the chesire cat's design
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
